UNIQLO and GU start delivery service to Tokyo hotels

A new service will allow customers at UNIQLO’s and G.U.’s Ginza stores to have their shopping delivered straight to their hotel.

Visitors looking to stock their wardrobe with UNIQLO and G.U. clothes, including UNIQLO’s recent Gundam and Pokémon collections will be able to take advantage of the new service.

The delivery service will also cover delivery to Haneda Airport and Narita Airport, allowing customers to pick their shopping up as they depart Japan.

Fast Retailing, the multinational retail holding company behind both UNIQLO and G.U., has teamed up with delivery service Airporter to offer the new service, which will currently only operate from their stores located in Marronnier Gate Ginza 2.

Airporter offer luggage delivery services in Tokyo, Osaka/Kyoto, Okinawa and Sapporo, allowing travellers to have their luggage delivered to their hotel the same day as arriving in Japan.

The new service will see Airporter transport UNIQLO and G.U. orders to Tokyo area hotels and airports, which will help travelers to travel lighter as they navigate the busy city.

Delivery to hotels and Haneda Airport will be priced at 1,650 yen, whilst delivery to Narita Airport, located further outside of Tokyo, will be priced at 2,200 yen.

The delivery service is currently only available at the brands Marronnier Gate Ginza 2 stores

Items will be available for collection from hotels after 8pm the day after purchase, whilst items being delivered to airport locations will be available after 4pm the following day.

Delivery cannot be made to accommodation such as guesthouses or private residences that do not have an on-site reception that is open at the times listed and the delivery service to Haneda Airport is only available at UNIQLO at this time.

The service is now live and travelers who are looking to avoid carrying their shopping around for the remainder of their day can now request delivery after completing their purchases at both G.U. and UNIQLO.
