Tokyo Revengers goshuin go on sale at shrine that inspired the series

A popular Tokyo shrine has announced a collaboration with hit manga series “Tokyo Revengers”.
Numabukuro Hikawa Shrine, situated in Nakano Ward, has unveiled a newly designed official goshuin, a special commemorative stamp, developed in collaboration with the widely acclaimed manga series “Tokyo Revengers.”

Fans of the series have been attracted to the shrine, as it serves as the inspiration for a shrine depicted within the manga “Tokyo Revengers”.

Due to its popularity with fans, the shrine planned and implemented an official collaboration goshuin as a tangible memento of their visit.
A goshuin, also known as a temple seal, is a stamp or seal given to worshippers at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan.
It is typically written in calligraphy and includes the shrine’s name, the date of the visit, and other unique markings.
Traditionally, they are collected in a special ‘goshuincho’, a dedicated book for these seals, and serves as proof of a pilgrimage or visit.
The newly introduced goshuin stamps are available in two distinct versions: a “Mikey version” and a “Tokyo Manji Gang founding member version”, each priced at 1,500 yen each or sold as a set for 3,000 yen.

Each version is accompanied by an original clear file and postcard as bonus items.
Let’s take a closer look at both Tokyo Revengers x Numabukuro Hikawa Shrine goshuin stamps!

This version features the torii gate and main building of the shrine in the background.
The phrase “Create the era of Numabukuro” is incorporated, expressing the shrine’s aspiration to revitalize Nakano Ward, its location.

This version showcases the six founding members of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

In addition to the goshuin, collaboration omamori/amulets, priced at 1,500 yen each or sold as a set for 3,000 yen, will be sold at the shrine.
An omamori is a Japanese amulet or charm, typically small, colorful fabric pouches, that are sold at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
They are believed to provide various forms of luck or protection to the bearer and each omamori is often dedicated to a specific purpose, such as ensuring good health, academic success, safe travels, or success in love.
Available in two colors, the first is a replica of the purple omamori/amulet worn around the neck of Keisuke Baji, one of the founding members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, whilst the second features black, red and gold colors inspired by the special attack uniform of the gang.
Each omamori comes with an original postcard and paper bag featuring artwork from the Tokyo Revengers manga.

These omamori are more than just decorative goods, as they have been blessed with a traffic safety prayer by priests at the shrine.
The goshuin and omamori will be available, whilst stocks last, from the 12th of April at Numabukuro Hikawa Shrine gift shop, which is open from 09:00 to 16:00.
If you’re not able to attend the shrine in person, you can apply for a “remote goshuin”, which can be ordered via the official online store of the shrine.
For those ordering their goshuin remotely, as part of the order process you are asked to dedicate a prayer to the shrine by facing towards its location as you pray.
It is important to note that the stamps are manually applied by shrine staff, resulting in variations in color, fading, and overall appearance compared to the sample.

This is an intentional part of the goshuin experience, allowing each recipient to possess a unique and personalized item.
