Tokyo Ghoul exhibition coming to Tokyo and Osaka this winter
A new Tokyo Ghoul exhibit is set to open in Tokyo and Osaka to celebrate 10 years since the airing of the TV anime.
The “Tokyo Ghoul EX” exhibition will offer an immersive experience that is designed to transport visitors into the world of the popular manga series by Sui Ishida.
Taking place at the Terada Warehouse G1 Building in Tokyo from October 21st to December 1st, the exhibit will then move to VS, inside Grand Green, in Osaka from December 14th to 29th.

Visitors will be able to experience a replica of the room where Kaneki is subjected to torture by Yamori and a “Quinx Treatment” room that will display visitors on a screen as if they were a member of the Quinx squad, complete with kagune.
There will also be a real life recreation of the “Anteiku Cafe” from the series, as well as an immersive theatre experience where visitors can relive the epic battle between Kaneki and Yamori like never before.
Visitors to the exhibition will receive a free shikishi, a type of coloured paper board, with a different design for each exhibition location:
The exhibition will also have plenty of merchandise on sale, with exclusive items that cannot be purchased elsewhere:
A set of special illustrations have been commissioned for the exhibition and these will be featured on some of the merchandise:
The special event illustrations have been used to create a unique collectors item that can only be obtained by attending the exhibition.
A set of 15 pin badges featuring the event illustrations, that comes in a decorative frame, will be produced in limited quantity, with each unit of the product being uniquely numbered.
These are made to order and you must purchase a special ticket in advance for 12,000 yen ($80 USD/£61.80 GBP) that covers the price of entry to the exhibition and the event exclusive made-to-order goods.
The special ticket also comes with a limited edition acrylic diorama, which can also be obtained separately via a limited goods ticket that costs 5,800 yen (approx. $38.79 USD/£29.87 GBP) if purchased in advance or 6,000 yen (approx. $40.13 USD/£30.90 GBP) for same day admission.
Finally, visitors can also purchase a replica of Kaneki’s mask for 120,000 yen. You won’t be able to purchase this on the day at the event, as pre-orders are required and you must be over 18 to purchase.
The mask comes with a special hardcover copy of the book “The Hanged Man’s MacGuffin”, a fictional work in the Tokyo Ghoul series by author Sen Takatsuki.
Tickets can now be purchased for the “Tokyo Ghoul EX” exhibition via the official website, with standard admission costing 3,300 yen (approx. $22.07 USD/£17 GBP) if purchased in advance or 3,500 yen (approx. $23.41 USD/£18.02 GBP) for same day tickets at the venue.
