Pop Team Epic creator delights fans with adorable fan art of Pokémon’s Lillie
Bkub Okawa, the popular manga artist known for works such as “Pop Team Epic,” has once again charmed fans with a delightful piece of fan art.
On May 1st, the artist posted an illustration of Lillie, a popular character from the “Pokémon” series, on X (formerly Twitter).
Bkub Okawa is known for regularly sharing fan art spanning a wide range of characters, from nationally recognized figures in franchises like “Pokémon” and “Mobile Suit Gundam” to more obscure personalities, much to the enjoyment of their followers.
This latest piece appears to be a response to the recent addition of Alola region packs to the mobile card game “Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (PokePoke),” as Lillie is also featured in these new packs.
The artwork depicts Lillie in her signature white wide-brimmed hat and dress. Okawa Bkub’s distinct, somewhat deformed style, characterized by large, wide-open eyes and a slightly open mouth, perfectly accentuates the character’s inherent cuteness.
The fan art has been met with enthusiastic responses from X users, with comments such as “It’s Lillie!” and “So cute!” flooding the post.
