ONE PIECE anime returns sooner than you’d think following hiatus news

The ONE PIECE anime is taking a 6 month break from its current “Egghead Arc” to improve the animation quality as we approach the end of the series run in the near future.

Whilst the news that the ONE PIECE anime won’t air new episodes in the “Egghead Arc” until April 2025 may be disappointing to many, fans can however look forward to a remake of the popular “Fishman Island Arc” which will begin airing in October 2024.

The “SPECIAL EDITION VERSION” of ONE PIECE’s “Fishman Island Arc” will start airing on the 27th of October.

The remake of the “Fishman Island Arc” will see it condensed from 51 to 21 episodes and its airing which will help bridge the gap for fans before the “Egghead Arc” resumes in April 2025.

With new and improved animation as well as Dolby Atmos sound, the remake of ONE PIECE’s “Fishman Island Arc” will give fans a chance to refresh their memories of the events of one of the arcs of ONE PIECE that is perhaps most relevant to the stories current trajectory.
