Official Pikachu headset coming to Nintendo Switch

Gaming peripheral manufacturer HORI has announced an officially licensed gaming headset designed to transform the wearer into Pikachu, the popular electric Pokemon.

Currently on display at Tokyo Game Show 2024, the headset comes loaded with cute design features, the main attraction of which is the soft and squishy ears.

Made from the same material as plush toys, you’ll find it hard to resist squeezing the ears every time you don your headset.

If long gaming sessions are your thing, you’ll know that the comfort of your headset is important. The Pikachu headset comes complete with a soft mesh cushion, making it not only comfortable but also breathable, which is a key quality for extended use, especially during warmer months.

Pikachu can also be found hiding inside both ear cups, which are specially designed to provide high quality sound insulation/noise reduction, making your gaming experience more immersive.

Volume controls, as well as a mic on/off function, are built in to the side of one of the ear cups, allowing you to adjust settings easily and with minimum disruption to your gameplay.

The headset is compatible with all voice chat enabled games and software for the Nintendo Switch, so you’ll be able to communicate with other players at all times.

The headset is due to launch on the 5th of December at stores across Japan, as well as online via the HORI website and retailers including Amazon and Rakuten.

Priced at just 5,980 yen, the Pikachu headset is a super cute way to add voice chat to your gaming sessions!
