Fender x Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster release date confirmed
The “Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster®”, which was initially announced last September, has finally been given a release date by Fender.
With a design based on the popular character “Rathalos”, the fire dragon from the hunting action game “Monster Hunter”, the electric guitar will soon be available for purchase from select locations across the world.
Guitar picks and pick cases featuring the design of Rathalos will also be released concurrently, allowing guitarists to accessorise with Monster Hunter themed items.
The “Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster®” is an electric guitar that has been developed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the “Monster Hunter Series”.
The series has been generating significant attention with the recent launch of its latest title, “Monster Hunter Wilds” on Friday, February 28th.
This Telecaster model showcases a specialized design inspired by the series’ iconic monster, the fire dragon “Rathalos”.
The Fender flagship store, “Fender Flagship Tokyo”, which is located in Harajuku, and the Fender official Japanese online store will offer a deluxe limited edition “Limited Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster®”, which includes a special hard case.
The pick and pick case that will be released alongside the guitar are also exclusive items, designed with the Fire Dragon Rathalos as their motif.

Fender x Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster®
The Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster ® is based on the king of the sky, the fire dragon Rathalos, an iconic character in the Monster Hunter series, and features an icon of Rathalos on the back of the body and inlay at the 12th fret, as well as the distinctive wing pattern and flame motif on the surface of the body, as well as the guild mark, giving the guitar a feel of the world of the game. This one-of-a-kind guitar also features original coloring and pickguard materials that represent Rathalos, and all-black hardware.
There is no compromise on sound or playability. The satin-finished alder body is equipped with a 9.5-inch radius “C”-shaped maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets.
The pickups are a Monster Hunter Rathalos Single Coil in the bridge and a Monster Hunter Rathalos Humbucker in the neck, in an SH configuration, which works well with distortion pedals and produces a high-power yet rich tone.
A black hard case with an original badge symbolizing the collaboration and an original certificate with the numbering engraved on the neck plate are included.

Fender x Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster® Limited Edition
The surface of the body expresses the worldview of the game, such as the distinctive wing pattern, flame pattern, guild mark, etc. In addition, the inlay at the 12th fret features an icon of Rathalos.
The back of the body is decorated with a Rathalos icon, and the neck plate is engraved with the Monster Hunter 20th anniversary logo and numbering.
Only the limited edition model features the claw marks of a Rathalos penetrating the pickup cover and pickguard.
The back of the neck of the limited edition model is engraved with a design based on the wing pattern of a Rathalos.
The body binding, 12th fret inlay, and side dots are made of phosphorescent material and glow red in the dark.
It comes with a special hard case decorated with a genuine leather strap, an original certificate, and a special pick set, based on the item box motif.
Fender x Monster Hunter Collaboration Guitar Picks
These guitar picks feature familiar material icons from the game, such as the tail, wings, and scales that can be obtained by defeating the fire dragon Rathalos.
There are 12 different designs available, and they are sold in sets of four randomly selected picks.
Three of the picks feature designs of the fire dragon’s reverse scale, fire dragon’s heavenly scale, and fire dragon’s ruby, which are particularly difficult to obtain within the game, are finished with metallic textured icons for a luxurious appearance.
The back of the picks are adorned with the Fender logo and the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary logo, making them highly collectible items.
Fender x Monster Hunter Collaboration Pick Case
A specially designed case that can accommodate 12 of the collaboration picks will also be released simultaneously.
This case is modeled after the item box decorated with the belt that appears in the game, and is constructed from a leather-like material with a pleasant tactile feel.
Additionally, the keyhole and crest, which are symbolic of the item box, are embossed.
The back of the case is also embossed with the Fender and Monster Hunter 20th anniversary logos.
The interior of the case is made of a transparent material, an effect that is intended to replicate the window of the item box as seen in the game.
It is also equipped with parts that allow for the attachment of a carabiner or chain for convenient carrying, making it a practical and highly collectible item for guitarists and bassists who are fans of Monster Hunter.
