HUNTER x HUNTER stage play returns for a third time this May

The third entry in the HUNTER x HUNTER stage adaptation will begin performances in Tokyo this May, before making its way to Osaka from June.

The widely acclaimed shonen comic series created by Yoshihiro Togashi has been successfully adapted into a series of captivating stage play productions, with the inaugural performance having taken place in May of 2023, followed by a second installment presented in March of 2024.

“HUNTER×HUNTER THE STAGE” has garnered significant attention and has been a prominent topic of discussion, largely attributed to its remarkably high level of artistic execution and faithful representation of the source material.

Now, the highly anticipated third production, titled “HUNTER×HUNTER THE STAGE 3,” is scheduled to grace the stages of prominent theaters in both Tokyo and Osaka, bringing to life the enthralling “Greed Island Arc” from the manga.

This upcoming theatrical presentation will be vividly brought to life by a talented cast, which includes several members who have reprised their roles throughout the preceding productions, alongside the exciting addition of new cast members who are actively involved and highly regarded in various other stage productions and entertainment genres.

In a notable casting update, Otomo Shion, who previously portrayed the central protagonist Gon in the first and second stage adaptations, concluded their tenure with the previous production.

The role of Gon will now be taken over by the talented Nishiyama Rento, starting from this third installment of the stage play series.
