Huge new Bandai Namco store set to open in Shibuya

Bandai Namco have announced that the grand opening of “BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store MAGNET by SHIBUYA109” will take place in August 2025.

This experiential retail facility will be located within the iconic MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 building in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and will be a hub for fans to engage with a wide array of characters and products from across the Bandai Namco Group.

The “BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store” concept is designed to be a physical touchpoint where customers can directly “see”, “touch” and “experience” the diverse characters and merchandise developed by the various companies within the BANDAI NAMCO Group.

The facilities aim to provide a novel entertainment experience, fostering a dynamic environment where various forms of content and their dedicated fanbases can converge.

“BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store MAGNET by SHIBUYA109” marks the 12th ‘Cross Store’ to open in Japan.

Its launch follows the upcoming openings of “BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store Sendai” on Friday, April 18th, and “BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store Nagoya” on Thursday, April 24th, indicating an expansion of BANDAI NAMCO’s physical retail strategy across key cities in Japan.

BANDAI NAMCO Cross Stores can now be found across Japan

The Shibuya-based store will occupy an expansive floor space of approximately 590 square meters on the B1F level of MAGNET by SHIBUYA109, a landmark building synonymous with Shibuya’s youth culture and trendy fashion scene.

The facility is expected to house around ten official shops representing various Bandai Namco brands, alongside dedicated event and amusement areas.

The store’s inventory will encompass a wide range of trendy items and character goods, specifically curated to cater to the broad demographic of visitors that frequent Tokyo’s Shibuya district.

The official participating shops within “BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store MAGNET by SHIBUYA109” have been announced and include:
