New Era releases first ever Sonic the Hedgehog cap collection

As Sonic the Hedgehog 3 finally reaches Japanese cinemas, New Era have announced that they will shortly be releasing new Sonic and Shadow merchandise.

This is the first time New Era has collaborated with the Sonic franchise and they will be releasing a total of 12 new items:

[59FIFTY®] 6,600 yen (approx. $41.86 USD/£33.50 GBP) each

New Era’s classic 59FIFTY® has two new designs which are unique to this collaboration – a special design with Sonic sitting on the New Era flag logo and a design with silhouettes of Sonic and Shadow above the New Era logo.

[9THIRTY™] 4,620 yen (approx. $29.31 USD/£23.45 GBP) each

The 9THIRTY™ also comes with two new designs. The front of each features the New Era logo and either “Sonic” or “Shadow” embroidered on it, while the back features the character’s name.

[Basic Cuff Knit] 3,740 yen (approx. $23.72 USD/£18.98 GBP)

This hat features the “Sonic the Hedgehog” series logo in white on clean blue background.

[Basic Beanie] 3,740 yen (approx. $23.72 USD/£18.98 GBP)

This simply designed beanie features silhouettes of Sonic and Shadow above the New Era logo.

[Oversized Short Sleeve TEE] 6,600 yen (approx. $41.86 USD/£33.50 GBP)

An oversized T-shirt featuring a special urban graffiti style Sonic design with a vintage inkjet print.

[Youth 9FIFTY™] 4,620 yen (approx. $29.31 USD/£23.45 GBP)

A snapback cap with Sonic’s face on the front.

[Youth 9TWENTY™] 3,960 yen (approx. $25.12 USD/£20.10 GBP) each

Like the adult 59FIFTY®, there are two original designs available featuring either Sonic, or Sonic and Shadow.

[Kid’s Basic Cuff Knit] 3,080 yen (approx. $19.54 USD/£15.63 GBP)

The Kid’s Square Knit hat is shaped just like Sonic’s head, making it a fun and playful design that’s sure to be popular with fans.

All of these products will be available to purchase online from New Era Japan starting from 10am JST on 2nd January 2025.

It’s worth noting that New Era Japan only ship to Japanese addresses, so you’ll need to use a proxy service such as Tenso or Buyee if you’re based outside of Japan.
