Free Wi-Fi service now available at Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) has announced the launch of a new, park-wide, free Wi-Fi service.
Starting from the 31st of March 2025, all visitors to USJ will be able to make use of the new service throughout the park.
USJ is expecting record levels of visitors in 2025, with new attractions set to launch throughout the year.
Anticipation is currently running high for some of their recently announced collaborations, which include rides and attractions based on popular anime series such as ‘The Apothecary Diaries’.

2025 will also see the return of ‘Spy x Family’ themed attractions, with the series last collaboration at USJ having taken place in 2023.

The new Wi-Fi service will help visitors to navigate their way around the park and will be particularly useful for groups of travellers who may need to split up and keep in touch throughout their day.
There will be two ways to connect to the free Wi-Fi service at USJ – via their official app, or directly from your phone’s Wi-Fi settings.
The official USJ app has features such as ride wait times and a map and is highly recommended for anyone visiting the park.
For those with the app installed, you can simply click the new “Tap to connect to Wi-Fi” button at the top of the home screen and follow the instructions to connect.

If you don’t have the USJ app installed, you can simply connect to the network directly from your Wi-Fi settings/network menu.
The USJ free Wi-Fi will appear with the network ID/SSID ‘UNIVERSAL’. Once selected, you will need to follow some steps in your browser to connect to the network.
Once you’ve connected, either via the app or directly from your phone’s network settings, you can enjoy the use of free Wi-Fi throughout your visit to USJ!

The new service is a welcome addition to the facilities at USJ, as with the park being incredibly busy at times the mobile network signal can be very intermittent in certain areas.
The ability to connect to Wi-Fi provided by the park will offer everyone that visits a free way to keep in touch with those in your group or to share your experience in real time with friends via social media or messaging apps.
