Wendy’s Japan reveals festive menu, promises to bring the heat this winter
Wendy’s First Kitchen, a merging of popular Japanese hamburger chain First Kitchen and American hamburger chain Wendy’s, is currently expanding across Japan with a total of 74 stores nationwide as of November 2024.
With winter firmly announcing its presence in a recent cold spell across Japan, Wendy’s Japan have announced their new winter menu, which is set to launch in all Wendy’s First Kitchen stores from Thursday the 5th of December.
8 new burgers will be on sale, with one of the new additions promising to heat you up during the cold winter season.
The popular Mushroom Melt Burger will make its return for 2024, which is certain to go down well with fans of Wendy’s Japan.
The Mushroom Melt Burger features a 100% beef patty topped with sliced cheddar cheese and a mushroom and cheese sauce that is full of delicious sliced mushrooms.
The richness of the cheese sauce makes this the perfect burger for a cold winters day.
Wendy’s Japan will be offering the Mushroom Melt Burger as both a single and double patty burger, priced at 750 yen and 1,400 yen respectively.
If that’s not enough to satisfy your hunger, you can also add bacon by ordering the Bacon Mushroom Melt Burger, again available in single and double patty options for either 900 yen for the single or 1,650 yen for the double.
Whilst the Mushroom Melt Burger’s mushroom and cheese topping will do a perfectly acceptable job of warming you during the colder months, Wendy’s Japan have a new addition to their winter 2024 menu that will do an even better job of providing heat on the coldest of days.
Exclusive to Wendy’s stores in Japan, the Spicy Chicken Mushroom Melt Burger combines the mushroom and cheese sauce seen on the beef patty Mushroom Melt Burger with a spicy chicken fillet.
Available in both single and double fillet options, the Spicy Chicken Mushroom Melt Burger is actually slightly cheaper than its beef counterpart, coming in at 650 yen for a single and 1,200 yen for a double.
You can also choose to add applewood smoked bacon to the Spicy Chicken Mushroom Melt Burger, with the single Spicy Chicken Bacon Mushroom Melt Burger costing 850 yen and the double costing 1,450 yen.
The Mushroom Melt Burger and Spicy Chicken Mushroom Melt Burger at Wendy’s Japan will go on sale from the 5th of December 2024 until the end of February 2025, so there’s plenty of time to try the new menu additions before they leave the menu until next winter.
