FamilyMart x Pikmin collaboration hits shelves in Japan

A new range of Pikmin inspired products will be available in FamilyMart stores across Japan this winter.

4 different food/drink items that are inspired by the world of Pikmin are set to go on sale from October the 29th.

Those familiar with Pikmin will know that they love collecting all manner of items and can often be seen carrying fruits – which is the source of inspiration for this new collaboration.

The first item in the collaboration is the “Four Kinds of Fruit Sandwich”, priced at 398 yen ($2.66 USD/£2.04 GBP), which combines pineapple, kiwi, tangerine and yellow peach in one delicious sandwich.

The second item is the “Pikmin Tokimekinomi Jelly Drink”, priced at 238 yen ($1.59 USD/£1.22 GBP), which is a lemon flavor drink that contains jelly pieces.

Next up is the “Pikmin Macaron Raspberry & Strawberry”, priced at 298 yen ($1.99 USD/£1.52 GBP), which includes two macarons with raspberry and strawberry cream, each decorated with an illustration of Pikmin.

The final item in the “Pikmin x FamilyMart” collaboration is the “Pikmin Flower Donut”, priced at 190 yen ($1.27 USD/£0.97 GBP).

Filled with banana milk whipped cream and coated in white chocolate, the donut is based on the flower that blooms on the head of Pikmin.

The “Pikmin x FamilyMart” collaboration will go on sale from October 29th whilst stocks last.

Pikmin is immensely popular in Japan due to the cute nature of the titular creatures, so you’ll need to head to FamilyMart early each day to pick up the collaboration goods before they sell out!
