‘Fate/stay night’ crossover event comes to Honkai: Star Rail this July

The recent second-anniversary concert for Honkai: Star Rail wasn’t just about celebrating the present; it also offered exciting glimpses into the future!
A highly anticipated crossover event between Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night will be launching on July 11th, 2025, bringing the iconic characters Saber and Archer into the world of the Astral Express.

The crossover event, titled “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail,” will see the world of Fate/stay night’s Holy Grail War collide with Honkai: Star Rail, with the Trailblazer and the Astral Express crew getting involved in the action.
Kinoko Nasu, the writer behind the original Fate/stay night story, contributed to the storyline for this special event, and Takashi Takeuchi, the series’ character designer, created brand-new artwork for Saber and Archer in the game.
Both Saber and Archer will be powerful five-star units, ready to join players’ rosters.
In a generous move, Archer will be obtainable by all players as a free login reward during the event, guaranteeing everyone can add the skilled archer to their team. Saber, on the other hand, will be available through a special Event Warp banner.

While both characters are damage-focused, they will excel in different combat roles. Archer will follow the Path of the Hunt and deal Quantum-type damage, making him a formidable single-target damage dealer.
Saber will be a Wind-type character following the Path of Destruction, similar to other heavy hitters like Blade, Firefly, and Jingliu.

While capable of targeting single enemies, Saber will also have abilities that can hit multiple foes, providing valuable area-of-effect damage.
Although Saber will only be obtainable through the Event Warp, she will also make appearances as an NPC within the event’s story.
This exciting crossover promises to bring a unique blend of the Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night universes, offering players new characters, a compelling storyline, and the chance to experience the Holy Grail War in the dreamlike world of Penacony.
In other announcements at the Honkai: Star Rail 2nd anniversary concert, a new game in the series was revealed, which is likely to be called ‘Honkai: Nexus Anima’ according to a recent trademark filing.
