Sakura Miku x ROUND1 collaboration event starts this spring

ROUND1, one of Japan’s most popular amusement chains, has announced a new collaboration with Sakura Miku, scheduled to take place this spring.

ROUND1 stores are multifaceted entertainment complexes, often featuring bowling alleys, karaoke rooms, arcades with a wide selection of crane games and video games.

The chain also operate stores that include “Spo-Cha”, or “Sports Challenge”, style activities such as roller skating, batting cages, and even indoor sports courts.

The “Sakura Miku x ROUND1” collaboration will see stores across Japan introduce new collaboration food and drink, special karaoke rooms and a host of other Sakura Miku themed elements throughout ROUND1 stores, starting from the 7th of March.

New illustrations have been prepared by artist Fuumi which features Sakura Miku and friends in “American Diner” style outfits.

So, what can you expect during the “Sakura Miku x ROUND1” collab? Let’s take a look at each of the events taking place:

Collaboration Menu

A collaboration menu featuring 5 drink items and 2 dessert options will be available at 90 bowling and karaoke locations nationwide.

Drinks based on Sakura Miku, Megurine Luka, KAITO, MEIKO and Kagamine Len and Rin will all be available to order:

Sakura Miku x ROUND1 Dessert Menu – 990 yen each

For every menu item ordered, customers will receive one original special gift.

For the first half of the collaboration (7th March to 20th April), customers will be gifted one exclusive “stand coaster” (selected at random from 7 types):

During the second half of the collab, customers ordering any food item will receive one exclusive acrylic coaster (selected at random from 7 types):

54 SPO-CHA stores nationwide will offer collaboration popcorn, available in two flavors (salt/caramel). Customers ordering the popcorn will receive the bonus goods as above.

Collaboration Packs

Collaboration packs will be available for purchase at 98 bowling alleys, 92 karaoke locations, 54 Spotcha locations, 47 billiards locations, and 75 darts locations nationwide.

When booking any activity at participating stores, customers will be given the option to upgrade to a collaboration pack that includes 1 of 4 exclusive plastic mats (selected at random from 4 types).

The designs will change halfway through the collaboration as follows:

1st Half (7th March to 20th April)
2nd Half (21st April to 8th June)

Karaoke Collaboration Room

Karaoke collaboration rooms, decorated with “Sakura Miku” themes, will be established at four specific locations:

  • Tokyo – Ikebukuro
  • Osaka – Sennichimae
  • Kasugai City – IIAS Kasugai
  • Sapporo – Susukino

Reservations are recommended if you wish to book the collaboration room. Bookings can be made via the official collaboration website link at the end of this article.

Customers who book the collaboration room will also receive the same goods as the collaboration packs.

Capsule Toys

A set of collaboration-exclusive capsule badges will be sold at five locations:

  • Tokyo – Ikebukuro
  • Kasugai City – IIAS Kasugai
  • Osaka – Sennichimae
  • Chofu City – Chofu Ekimae
  • Tokyo – Machida

12 types will be available to collect (dispensed at random), priced at 500 yen each.

Other features available during the collaboration will include the ability to change the display monitor during bowling to a collaboration themed image, a bowling score competition and a digital stamp rally.

Collaboration Goods

There will also be a range of original goods, featuring newly drawn illustrations and chibi character illustrations, available for sale at the following ROUND1 locations:

  • Tokyo – Ikebukuro
  • Osaka- Sennichimae
  • Kasugai City – IIAS Kasugai store (Aichi prefecture)
  • Sapporo – Susukino

The original illustration for the collaboration has been prepared by artist Fuumi, with an “American Diner” theme.

Let’s take a look at all of the goods that will be on sale!

As a purchase bonus, for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on merchandise at the designated stores, customers will receive one randomly selected paper bookmark (12 types in total, designs will change halfway through the collaboration):

Goods will be sold at online and physical stores such as AMNIBUS and Animate after the event, so if you’re unable to attend you may be able to get your hands on some of the goods first hand without having to scour the aftermarket.

The “Sakura Miku x ROUND1” collaboration will take place from the 7th of March until the 8th of June 2025.
