Adorable Rilakkuma glasses collection unveiled
Megane Flower has announced the release of a new line of eyewear featuring the popular San-X character, Rilakkuma.
Introduced by San-X in 2003, Rilakkuma is widely recognized for its adorable appearance and relaxed demeanor.
The new glasses collection from Megane Flower offers three distinct models, each inspired by a different Rilakkuma character, and available in four different color variations.
These models include the fashionable Boston frame Rilakkuma model, the slightly unique metal frame Korilakkuma model, and the playful metal parts studded Kiiroitori model.
Each purchase includes an original glasses cloth and a hard glasses case as a complimentary bonus. The glasses are designed to complement the wearer’s individual style and personality.
Rilakkuma Model
The “Rilakkuma Model” embodies the laid-back nature of Rilakkuma, featuring a stylish combination frame in a classic Boston shape. The frame is accented with cute metal parts surrounding the eye area.
The inside of the tip cell is adorned with a Rilakkuma inlay, providing a delightful detail when the glasses are removed.
Korilakkuma Model
The “Korilakkuma Model” draws inspiration from the energetic and mischievous Korilakkuma, showcasing a unique Boston-shaped metal frame.
The side temples are embellished with Korilakkuma’s signature chest buttons. The inside of the tip cell also features a Korilakkuma inlay, adding a touch of charm.
Kiiroitori Model
The “Kiiroitori Model” reflects the reliable and diligent Kiiroitori, featuring a round metal frame with playful metal parts.
The eye area is designed to resemble Kiiroitori’s feet, and the temple joint is shaped like Rilakkuma when viewed from above.
The Kiiroitori inlay in the tip cell serves as a distinct accent.
Purchase Bonus
As a special bonus with each purchase, customers will receive an original glasses cloth featuring Rilakkuma and friends in a relaxed pose, and a durable hard glasses case with an embossed finish.
Each pair of glasses are priced at 13,200 yen (tax inc. approx. $87.14 USD/£69.18 GBP) with thin aspherical lenses, and 11,000 yen (tax inc. approx. $72.62 USD/£57.65 GBP) for the frame only.
They will go on sale from the 21st of February 2025 via Megane Flower physical stores and their official website, as well as the “What’s Up?” eyewear stores on Rakuten, Yahoo! and Amazon.
The special bonus glasses cloth and case will only be available with purchases via Megane Flower directly whether in store or online.
