"New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT" first trailer released

Studio TRIGGER’s highly anticipated “New PANTY & STOCKING with Garterbelt” has finally received its first trailer.

First aired in 2010, PANTY & STOCKING with Garterbelt has become a cult classic, known for its unique art style and innuendo laden action.

STUDIO Trigger announced their intentions to create a new project at Anime Expo 2022, having acquired the rights from Gainax to allow them to begin production.

After years of anticipation, a new trailer has been released alongside confirmation that the series will return in 2025:

Many of the main cast from the previous series will be returning, including Arisa Ogasawara as Panty and Mariya Ise as Stocking.

Akino Watanabe replaces Ayumi Fujimura as Kneesocks, though Yuka Komatsu returns in her role as Scanty.

Yuko Natsuyoshi will also be joining the cast in the role of Zipper.

Hiroyuki Yoshino is also set to return as Briefs alongside Kouji Ishii as Garterbelt and Takashi Nakamura as Chuck.

The series soundtrack will once again be handled by Taku Takahashi and TeddyLoid, with their work on the original series having been widely praised.

Director Hiroyuki Imaishi will return, teaming up with Hiromi Wakabayashi and Akira Furukawa who will act as Assistant Director’s.

A new key visual has been released, which shows the series main characters with See Through, Panty and Stocking’s pink hummer:

No specific release date has been confirmed for “New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT”, but Studio TRIGGER have committed to the series launching in 2025.
