“My Hero Academia” FINAL SEASON confirmed to air in 2025
Shortly after the seventh season of the TV anime “My Hero Academia” concluded, the eighth season was subsequently confirmed as being scheduled to air in 2025.
TOHO Animation have also confirmed that the eighth season is the final season. It will cover the story of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga from volume 40 onwards which brings the battles between Deku and Shigaraki, and All Might and All For One, to their conclusion.
TOHO have released a teaser visual and a video announcing My Hero Academia “FINAL SEASON”.
The teaser visual was created by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi from Studio Bones. It features Deku saying, “This is the story of how we became the greatest heroes” as well as including the 2025 year of release.
The first season of the My Hero Academia anime premiered on April 3rd, 2016 and it subsequently became one of the most popular anime series in recent years, winning praise for its action, animation, and character development.
The series has been nominated for numerous awards, including winning the Crunchyroll Anime Award for Anime of the Year in 2020. The series has also been commercially successful, with the manga selling over 50 million copies worldwide.
Although an exact date for when the final season will air has not been released, fans will no doubt be looking forward to seeing how the anime adapts the series conclusion which will see the story end 9 years after it first aired.
