Stay in a Monogatari themed room at this popular Tokyo hotel
Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, is set to offer two new room experiences based on the popular anime series Monogatari.
The new Monogatari rooms are set to run alongside the hotel’s current Black Butler themed collaboration, making it the perfect place to stay if you’re an anime fan.
Two different types of room will be available, with one based on series favorites Hachikuji Mayoi, Oshino Shinobu and Ononoki Yotsugi, whilst the second is solely based on Oshino Shinobu.
The first room, based on Hachikuji Mayoi, Oshino Shinobu and Ononoki Yotsugi, sees three of the series most popular characters come together to create an amazing anime themed hotel experience.
The room is decorated with character panels, themed cushions and bedding and artwork covering the walls of the room.
Guests will also be provided with an exclusive acrylic panel as well as an original key card, both of which can be taken home.
The second room type is the “Oshino Shinobu – Bathrobe Edition“ room, which focuses on just Oshino Shinobu.
Again, a life size character panel and custom Monogatari themed bedding, cushions and artwork all transform the room to provide the perfect experience for fans.
This room type also comes with an acrylic standee and original key card, as well as a face towel, all of which can be taken home after your stay.
The two Monogatari themed rooms can be booked for stays from the 10th of January 2025 until the 15th of March 2025, subject to availability.
Room prices range from 19,500 yen (approx. $123.69 USD/£98.96 GBP) to 23,500 yen (approx. $149.06 USD/£119.26 GBP) per person, per night or from 18,000 yen (approx. $114.18 USD/£91.35 GBP) to 22,000 yen (approx. $139.55 USD/£111.65 GBP) for Seibu Prince Global Rewards members.
Each room booking comes with all stated room amenities/goods as well as a free original drink, which can be redeemed at the hotel’s Cafe & Dining Chef’s Palette (1F).
To compliment the Monogatari hotel rooms, the Cafe & Dining Chef’s Palette will be serving 3 original drinks based on each character featured in the collaboration:
Shinobu Oshino
Mayoi Hachikuji
Yotsugi Ononoki
Each drink will come with an exclusive polaroid card (selected at random from four types). Drinks can be purchased separately, whether you are staying in a collaboration room or not, for 1,200 yen (approx. $7.61 USD/£6.09 GBP).
Bookings can now be made via the Sunshine City Prince Hotel official website, though you’ll need to be quick as most collaboration rooms sell out quickly.
