Mobile Suit Gundam inspires new range of motorcycle apparel

Bandai will be releasing a range of motorcycle apparel inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam.

Developed in collaboration with KUSHITANI, a manufacturer of motorcycle apparel, the new collection will consist of 12 riding gear items featuring designs inspired by “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Mobile Suit Gundam UC”.

This collaboration will be available for purchase at STRICT-G, Bandai’s retail stores specializing in Gundam-themed clothing, from Saturday, March 15th.

Select KUSHITANI retail locations will also carry the collection, with availability scheduled for late March 2025.

KUSHITANI, established in 1947 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, specializes in the development and production of motorcycle wear, encompassing racing, touring, and urban apparel. Their product range includes leather suits, gloves, and other protective gear.

This collaboration extends KUSHITANI’s product offerings to include merchandise featuring iconic imagery from the “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” franchises.

The collaboration comprises 12 new items, including two types of mesh gloves, two hoodie jackets, two pull-up hoodies, three t-shirts, and three neck guards.

Bandai and KUSHITANI have released details on the full range of items available:

Inventive Mesh Gloves

Constructed from water-repellent goat leather, polyester and artificial leather, these gloves feature a punched mesh design for ventilation.

The gloves incorporate knuckle protectors and resin palm sliders for impact protection.

Smartphone touch compatibility is included on the index finger and thumb.

Two colors are available: a black “Char model” inspired by “Mobile Suit Gundam” and a white “Unicorn Gundam model” inspired by “Mobile Suit Gundam UC”.

REBRO Hoodie Jacket

Rebro hoodies are fabricated from a thick, cotton-touch material with a diamond-patterned texture developed by KUSHITANI.

The hoodie’s design features a reduced skin contact area for enhanced comfort.

Two color variations are available: a black “Char model” and a white “Unicorn Gundam model”.

Pull-up Hoodie

This hoodie utilizes the same diamond-patterned material as the REBRO HOODIE, with padded design stitching on the shoulders.

It will be available in a black “Char” version and a navy “Banshee” version.

• Price: 23,100 yen (approx. $155.40 USD / £120.11 GBP)

Flow T-Shirt

These shirts are constructed from a sweat-absorbing, quick-drying heathered fabric.

Each shirt features the KUSHITANI logo on the front and franchise-specific motifs on the back.

They are available in black, white or navy, representing Char, Unicorn Gundam and Banshee, respectively.

• Price: 6,380 yen (approx. $42.92 USD / £33.17 GBP)

Neck Guard

Made from a stretchy material, these neck guards are suitable motorcycle riding and exercise.

They will be available in black, white, and navy, corresponding to the Char, Unicorn Gundam and Banshee designs.

• Price: 4,400 yen (approx. $29.60 USD / £22.87 GBP)

Prior to the general release, pre-orders will be accepted through Premium Bandai, the official Bandai Namco Group online store, commencing at 13:00 on Wednesday, March 12th.

A Japanese VPN connection may be required to access the pre-order page from overseas and it’s recommended to also use private/incognito mode on your browser if a VPN alone does not grant access.

The four STRICT-G stores in Japan that will be stocking these goods are:

As with most Gundam collaboration goods, stock is expected to be limited for online and in-store sales, so it is recommended to place any orders as early as possible!
