Make a new years wish with new BLUE LOCK “5 yen” holder
Nadaya, a manufacturer of leather goods in Japan, has created an ingenious way of carrying your luck with you throughout the year, whilst also showing off your favorite Blue Lock character.
With the new year almost upon us, many people in Japan will be heading out to shrines to ring in the new year and pray for good luck in the coming year.
Many of those visiting shrines will look to donate 5-yen coins, which are commonly given as donations at Shinto shrines to make a request of the god of the shrine.
5-yen coins are also given as gifts of good fortune to children during the Japanese New Year, but the practice is becoming more common between people of all ages.
Many recipients of a 5-yen coin will choose to utilise the hole in the center of the coin to thread a string or cord through to create a charm or necklace, meaning you can wear your good luck throughout the year.
This is where Nadaya’s new Blue Lock themed creation comes into play.
A 5-yen holder emblazoned with character specific motifs, the new Blue Lock 5-yen holder can be attached to bags, jackets and similar items, or you can replace the short string with a longer one to wear it as a necklace.
5 different character specific 5-yen holders will be available to choose from, with each made from PU leather with a soft feel, identical to the type used on soccer balls.
Each holder shows the characters squad number as part of the Blue Lock Eleven from the match against Japan’s U20’s.
First up is the Isagi Yoichi version, which utilises Isagi’s normal green color scheme:
Second in the line-up is the Bachira Meguru version, which uses his yellow color scheme that evokes his aura:
Third is the Chigiri Hyoma version, which as expected uses a pink colorway combined with his jersey number of 4:
Second to last is the Nagi Seishiro version, which comes in a grey color variant:
The final 5-yen holder belongs to none other than Itoshi Rin, which uses a turquoise color that matches his aura during matches:
You can pre-order your Blue Lock 5-yen holder now for 1,650 yen (approx $11.00 USD/£8.64 GBP), from either P-Bandai (Japan only) or through the Nadaya official web store, which does accept International orders via the Worldshopping facility.
