Get in the car, Shinji! Evangelion themed car seats now available

BRIDE will be releasing new Evangelion themed bucket seats in collaboration with the Evangelion Racing motorsports team.

Evangelion Racing is a motorsports team created in 2010 as promotional tie-up between the “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” (Rebuild of Evangelion) movies and RUN’A Entertainment.

The team races cars and motorcycles styled after the Evangelion Units from the anime series and competes in a number of championships including SUPER GT, D1 GP, Formula DRIFT and the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race.

BRIDE are a top Japanese manufacturer of racing seats and have teamed up with Evangelion Racing to release three new bucket seats based on Evangelion Units 01, 02 and 00.

Each seat features a three color design based on the colors of the respective Evangelion with a large NERV logo on the rear as well as Evangelion Racing and BRIDE logos.

The seats are based on BRIDE’s flagship “ZETA IV” full bucket seat which is designed for the average Japanese adult male, who is around 170cm tall and weighs up to 80kg.

The “ZETA IV” bucket seat is a popular choice with circuit racers but its use isn’t just limited to the racing scene.

As the seat complies with Japanese safety standards for street/road use it has proven a popular choice with Japanese motorists.

Each seat weighs 8.5kg and will cost 220,000 yen (approx. $1,393 USD / £1,142 GBP).

Evangelion fans looking to upgrade their car seating can order the new seats at BRIDE dealers and stockists throughout Japan from 10th January 2025.
