Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc release date announced – watch the first trailer now

The first glimpse of the highly anticipated Chainsaw Man movie has been released, one year on from its first announcement.

With the trailer revealed at Jump Festa 2025, the film is set to cover the series “Reze Arc” and will be released in 2025 in Japan with an international release shortly afterwards.

Two new key visuals have been released, one showing Chainsaw Man and the second showing Reze and Denji in a more casual scene.

The promo video shows key elements of the arc covered by the movie, including interactions between Denji and Reze, as well as the involvement of fan favorites such as Beam:

MAPPA leads the films animation production, with Tatsuya Yoshihara, who directed the fourth and tenth episodes of the Chainsaw Man anime series, returning as director with Hiroshi Seko as script writer, alongside Kazutaka Sugiyama as character designer.

Other credits have been announced, with Souta Yamazaki as sub character designer, Sota Shigetsugu as action animation director and Shoichi as main animator.

Riki Matsuura will design the devils alongside Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who recently directly Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit anime film Look Back.

The Chainsaw Man movie will be released in theatres in Japan in 2025, with an international release likely in late 2025 or early 2026.
