Anime meets fashion with new Bungo Stray Dogs boot collection
Popular Japan based fashion brand MAYLA, known for their collaborations with popular anime such as Attack on Titan, have announced a new set of Bungo Stray Dogs themed shoes.
Four different types of boot will be available, based on Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, Chuuya Nakahara and Ryunosuke Akutagawa.
Each boot has been meticulously crafted to incorporate the essence and color scheme of each character into a number of different design points.
So, let’s take a closer look at each of the boots in the collection:
Atsushi Nakajima
First up is the Atsushi Nakajima model, which utilises his black and white color scheme:
Osamu Dazai
The second boot in the collection is based on Osamu Dazai, using browns and golds to evoke his personality:
Ryunosuke Akutagawa
The third boot in the MAYLA x Bungo Stray Dogs collection is based on Ryunosuke Akutagawa, using black and white with a hint of red to match his color scheme and that of his ability Rashomon:
Chuuya Nakahara
The fourth and final boot in the collection is based on Chuuya Nakahara, which mixes white and black elements with red and burnt orange to match his color pallette:
A number of different design features add stylish elements to the boots, helping to create a premium shoe ideal for fans of the series.
Each boot features a removable ribbon, allowing it to be worn in two different styles:
The insole of each boot has the Bungo Stray Dogs series logo printed on it:
And each pair of boots comes in a limited edition box, which features emblems that represent each character on the front and the collaboration promotional image on the inside:
Pre-orders for the boots can be placed from the 26th of December 2024 until the 26th of January 2025, via the MAYLA official store.
International shipping can be accomodated via the “World Shopping” service.
Priced at 31,900 yen (inc tax. approx $202.35 USD/£161.89 GBP) per pair, delivery will commence in waves starting from August 2025.
