Anime day takes place on 22nd October each year to commemorate the day in 1958 when Japan’s first full-length color animated film “The Tale of the White Serpent” was released.

As part of the celebrations, a new advertisement has been installed in Shibuya by streaming service “hulu”, which features some of the most recognisable anime characters of present times.
