What to expect at Yokohama Sparkling Twilight
The Yokohama Sparkling Twilight Executive Committee organise short firework displays lasting about 5 minutes, which are launched from various locations around Yokohama Port throughout the year.
In 2024 around 30 displays were scheduled, making Yokohama Sparkling Twighlight the event with the largest number of annual displays in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
By syncing the displays with pre-existing events, the committee aim to create even more reasons for visitors to explore the Yokohama Port area, as well as encouraging overnight stays to increase the local economy.
With the support of local businesses and international conference organizers, Yokohama Sparkling Twilight creates an unforgettable urban fireworks experience that is unique to Yokohama.
When will Yokohama Sparkling Twilight take place?
Yokohama Sparkling Twilight firework displays happen on various dates throughout the year, with most of them falling on a weekend.
Upcoming dates are as follows:
- 1st January 2025 – 00:00 to 00:03 at Osanbashi Pier and Shinko Pier
- 18th January 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Yamashita Pier
- 25th January 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Osanbashi Pier
- 1st February 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Yamashita Pier
- 8th February 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Yamashita Pier
- 22nd February 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Shinko Pier
- 1st March 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Osanbashi Pier
- 29th March 2025 – 19:00 to 19:05 at Shinko Pier

How do I get to Yokohama Sparkling Twilight?
Nearest Station: Yokohama Sparkling Twilight is best viewed from around the Minatomirai area, and as such the best station to reach the event would be Minatomirai Station using the Minatomirai Line.
Alternatively, the events can be viewed from areas around Kannai Station by using the Blue Line, Negishi Line or the Yokohama Line.
You can also reach see most events from around Motomachi-Chūkagai Station using the Minatomirai Line.
