Matsuya Ginza (8th Floor Event Square) will be hosting the Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku 10th Anniversary Exhibition which will feature a number of displays, exhibits and a range of exclusive merchandise available to purchase.

Manga artist Fujita’s debut work, “Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku” began in 2014 as a post on the illustration sharing website pixiv.

This romantic comedy is about the awkward love between two otaku, Narumi and Hirotaka and the manga has sold over 12 million copies (including e-books) as of 2021.

The title that was concluded in 2021 has been made into a TV anime and a live-action movie.

This exhibition commemorates the 10th anniversary of the birth of “Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku” and takes a look back at memorable scenes, with laughs and heart-pounding moments, along with the series unique characters, with the help of manga manuscripts, colour illustrations and videos. 

A special exhibition of “Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku” manga panels drawn by Fujita will also be on display.
