What to expect at Ueno Christmas Market 2024
The Ueno Tourism Association will be holding Ueno’s first large-scale Christmas event “UENO Christmas Market” at Hakamakoshi Square in Ueno Park.
The centre of the square will feature festive illuminations, a large illuminated Christmas tree and a cute photo spot with adorable pandas!
There will be an exclusive panda market featuring panda related goods & gachapon machines, as well as sales of a limited number of framed stamps titled “The Ueno Zoo Giant Panda Family of Five”.
The stamps feature shots of Ueno zoo’s pandas Ri Ri, Shin Shin, Xiang Xiang, Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei.
From December 2nd a numbered ticket system will be in place daily from 11:00, as quantities of the stamps are limited. Timed sales will begin at 14:00 daily.
The event will have a variety of food trucks in attendance selling gourmet food, hot drinks, sweet and alcoholic drinks.
There will be live music and performances happening daily throughout the event. Stage times will be between 17:00 to 20:30 on weekdays and Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 to 20:30.

Ueno Christmas Market will take place from the 1st December 2024 until the 25th December 2024 at Hakamakoshi Square in Ueno Park.
Opening hours will be from 11:00 to 21:00 daily.
