What to expect at Tokyo Indie Games Summit

First ran in 2023, Tokyo Indie Games Summit aims to become a place where various indie game developers can gather together and be inspired to pursue their goals.

Designed with both developers and players in mind, creators have an opportunity to exhibit their works to both industry peers and players alike.

Attracting over 9,000 visitors annually, the event has been a great success in creating interaction that transcends age, gender, and nationality.

This years event will see the summit take place at a number of different venues across Tokyo’s Kichioji neighbourhood, with Musashino Public Hall and Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel selected as the main venues.

The first day of the summit is reserved as a business only day, allowing developers to have dedicated time for showing their games to peers and industry executives.

The second day will see players invited to attend the event, with a focus on interaction between developers and players with the hopes of promoting the games on show.

When will Tokyo Indie Games Summit take place?

Tokyo Indie Games Summit is set to take place from the 8th of March to the 9th of March 2025.

The first day of the event will be business only, with only the second day open to the general public.

The two main venues for the event are Musashino Public Hall and Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel.

Sub venues will include Kichijoji Marui and Hamonica Yokocho, with more to be announced via the official website.
