What to expect at Shinjuku Southern Terrace Illumination 2024
2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the Shinjuku Southern Terrace Illumination, with the main theme of this year’s illuminations designed around the concept “Hello Winter”.
The theme is based on individuals from around the world gathering to meet in Shinjuku, each communicating with a “hello” in their own language or dialect.
To create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, the illuminations will feature projections of words such as “HELLO” in multiple languages, as well as colourfully lit up photo spots.
Many of the restaurants and eateries of Shinjuku Southern Terrace will feature limited festive menu items such as Christmas dinner, Christmas afternoon tea and Christmas cakes.
When will Shinjuku Southern Terrace Illumination 2024 take place?
Shinjuku Southern Terrace Illumination will take place from the 15th November 2024 until the 14th February 2025.
Illuminations will be lit from 16:30 to 24:00.
