Event Overview
Shimizu Cultural Center Marinart will be hosting the Pan Dorobo (Bread Thief) Exhibition which will display original artwork from picture books “The Bread Thief,” “The Bread Thief vs. the Fake Bread Thief,” “The Bread Thief and the Mysterious French Bread,” “The Bread Thief and the Onigiri Boy’s Journey,” and “The Bread Thief and the Hot Pot,” as well as character designs and rough sketches.
There will also be numerous photo spots around the exhibition where you can immerse yourself in the world of The Bread Thief.
The exhibition aims to create a playful and surreal atmosphere for all ages, with the help of characters the bread thief, the bakery man, the fake bread thief, and the mysterious French bread.

A wide variety of goods will be on sale from the exhibition shop which will feature new artwork, including apparel, bags, plushies and more.

Entry Cost
Advanced tickets are priced at 500 yen for elementary school students, 1,200 yen for middle and high school students (1,000 yen on weekdays) and 1,200 yen for adults (1,000 on weekdays).
Parent-child pair admission tickets with pre-opening photo shoot are priced at 2,300 yen.
