Metaphor: ReFantazio Exhibition opens in Tokyo

A new public exhibition dedicated to the video game “Metaphor: ReFantazio” is being held in Tokyo.
This exhibition provides an in-depth look into the game’s development, art, and narrative.
The first exhibition dedicated to the game, it hosts a number of displays and attractions for fans to enjoy.
Upon entering the exhibition, visitors are greeted by a life-sized statue of the “Seeker” archetype, a central figure in the game’s lore.

The introductory area is designed to immerse visitors in the world of “Metaphor: ReFantazio” featuring key scenes from the game and original illustrations by Kazunori Soejima.

A section of the exhibition recreates “Academia” a recurring location within the game’s narrative.

This area features newly recorded voiceovers by the character More, providing guided tours and insights into the exhibition.
The “STORY” section of the exhibition delves into the game’s narrative, presenting key plot points and development commentary.
A key attraction in this area is a photo opportunity where you can pose while “sword surfing”.

Visitors can pose with a replica of the sword, recreating the appearance of riding on it as if they were in the game.
The “CHARACTER” section showcases artwork and commentary related to the game’s primary characters.

This area includes insights from the Atlas development team and displays of “candidate posters” which are in-game promotional materials.

The “WORLD VIEW” section focuses on the game’s setting and environment, featuring world maps and concept art.

A photo opportunity is available with a replica of the “Gauntlet Runner” allowing visitors to sit in the vehicle’s chair and experience a simulated in-game view.

The “UI” section highlights the game’s user interface, displaying the main menu and videos with developer commentary.
This section also includes photo opportunities that simulate in-game command battle scenes.

The “OTHERS” section presents a comprehensive collection of over 350 setting materials, some of which are being displayed for the first time.

This extensive collection provides detailed insights into the game’s development process.

Additionally, costumes worn by the main characters, Stroll, Hulkenberg, and Louis, are on display.
The exhibition’s merchandise area offers a selection of “Metaphor: ReFantazio” related goods, including exclusive items created specifically for the exhibition including the official exhibition guidebook.

To commemorate the results of the “Metaphor: ReFantazio” character popularity poll, additional admission bonuses are being distributed.
These bonuses include postcards featuring an illustration by Shigenori Soejima, showcasing the characters who ranked highest in the poll: Stroll, Louis, and the main character. These postcards are available while supplies last.
