Event Overview
Komuroyama Park, situated in Shizuoka, becomes the venue for an annual azalea festival, which takes place approximately from the middle of April to the beginning of May each year, offering a plentiful display of these beautiful blossoms for visitors to enjoy.
The park’s grounds feature an astonishing collection of 100,000 azaleas, encompassing 40 distinct varieties, and these flowers extend across an area of roughly 35,000 square meters.


The festival typically includes a selection of flea market stalls and food vendors, providing opportunities for attendees to purchase refreshments and browse various goods.
In addition to the extensive display of azaleas, on days with clear weather, visitors are presented with the opportunity to observe Mount Fuji in the distance.

Komuroyama Park is accessible via a variety of transportation options. For those arriving by train, a taxi ride of approximately 15 minutes from JR Ito Station, which is served by the Ito Line, will bring you to the park.
Alternatively, for those utilizing the Izu Kyūkō Line, a walk of roughly 20 minutes from Kawana Station will lead you to the park’s entrance.
For individuals planning to arrive by personal vehicle, parking facilities are provided. However, it is important to note that these parking areas tend to reach full capacity quite rapidly, particularly during periods of festival activity.
