Koenji Street Performer Festival
Last Updated on March 27, 2025

Event Overview
The Koenji Street Performer Festival, also known as Koenji Bikkuri Daidougei, is an event held annually in the Koenji district of Tokyo.
This festival attracts a diverse array of skilled street performers, or buskers, who travel from various parts of the world to showcase their talents in a wide range of disciplines, including magic, comedy, acrobatics, music, art, and numerous other forms of entertainment.
The festival’s performances are distributed throughout the streets of Koenji, with nearly 30 designated locations serving as “stages” for the various acts.
Several main stages are situated in close proximity to the train station, while the remaining stages are located within a 5- to 10-minute walking distance. It is highly recommended that attendees obtain one of the complimentary guidebooks, which are distributed in and around the train station.
These guidebooks contain a comprehensive map of the festival area and a detailed timetable for each performance and stage.
Each individual act typically performs approximately three times per day at different, rotating stages, allowing attendees to effectively plan their itinerary and ensure they have the opportunity to witness all the performances they desire.
