What to expect at Hibiya Magic Time Illumination 2024

The illuminations at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya will take place across 3 separate areas, each of which is perfect for taking a winter walk.

Hibiya Step Square

In celebration of the anticipated release of Disney’s “Moana 2”, set to be released at cinemas in Japan this November, Hibiya Step Square will be illuminated to resemble a vast blue ocean.

The lights and seven Christmas trees set around the square will be decorated in hues of blue.

Every 10 minutes special illuminations will be timed to music from the movie, transporting you into the world of Moana.

Hibiya Area Illumination

The trees around Tokyo Midtown Hibiya will be illuminated in 4 different color schemes throughout the event.

Each color scheme is designed to reflect the beauty of the night sky, reminiscent of the Northern Lights.

From 14th November 2024 until the 6th December 2024 the colour scheme will be Blue Moment.

From 7th December 2024 until the 25th December 2024 the colour scheme will be Aurora Green.

From 26th December 2024 until 31st January 2025 the colour scheme will be Sunset Gold.

The last theme taking place from the 1st February to the 28th February 2025 will be Pink Venus belt.

Park View Winter Garden 

Park View Garden located on Tokyo Midtown Hibiya’s 6th floor, will be illuminated with multi-coloured and bright white lighting, making the rooftop garden look like it has been decorated with stars.

All of the illuminations will make the most of green energy, making them not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious.

*Park View Illuminations begin on the 18th November 2024.

When will Hibiya Magic Time Illumination 2024 take place?

Hibiya Magic Time Illumination is taking place from the 14th November 2024 until the 28th February 2025.

Illuminations will be lit up from 16:00 until 23:00 daily.

*Hibiya Step Square illuminations will end 25th December 2024.

Hibiya Magic Time Illumination is free to attend.

How do I get to Hibiya Magic Time Illumination 2024?

Nearest Station: Hibiya Magic Time Illumination is best accessed from Hibiya Station using the Chiyoda Line, Hibiya Line or the Mita Line.

You can also access the event from Yurakucho Station using the Yurakucho Line, Yamanote Line or the Keihin-Tōhoku Line.

Alternatively, Hibiya Magic Time Illumination can be accessed from Uchisaiwaichō Station by taking the Mita Line.
