First ever Dandadan Exhibition announced for summer 2025

A new exhibition that will allow fans a closer look inside the world of the hit manga series Dandadan has been announced.

The popular occult youth battle series, penned by Yukinobu Tatsu and serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump +”, which has already surpassed a staggering 10 million copies in circulation, will be holding its first-ever original art exhibition, titled “Dandadan Gengaten”!

This immersive exhibition promises to recreate the unique world of “Dandadan,” a thrilling blend of occult encounters, intense battles, romantic comedy, and youthful energy, through breathtaking original artwork and dynamic visual effects.

A new illustration featuring Okarun and Momo has been produced specially for the exhibition

The exhibition will be an opportunity for fans to experience the powerful and detailed original drawings of Yukinobu Tatsu up close.

There will also be photo spots throughout the exhibition that will allow visitors to step directly into iconic scenes from the manga’s storyline and take commemorative pictures.

Exhibition Experience

The “Dandadan Gengaten” will be comprised of six distinct areas, each focusing on a key element of the manga:

The exhibition will be split into 6 distinct sections

Opening Movie: A special introductory video to draw visitors into the story’s world.
Chapter 1 Character Introduction: An in-depth look at the beloved characters, including Momo, Okarun, and the various monsters.
Chapter 2 Occult: A visual exploration of the mysterious blend of ghosts, aliens, and strange creatures that define “Dandadan.”
Chapter 3: The Making of Dandadan: An examination of the manga’s unique appeal, featuring a direct interview with the original author and the display of the valuable original manuscript of the first episode.
Chapter 4 Occultic Battle: A thrilling recreation of the intense battle scenes between Momo and Okarun.
Chapter 5 Romantic Comedy: A focus on the heartwarming and humorous romantic elements between the main characters.
Chapter 6 Emotion: A chance to relive the exciting climax and emotionally resonant moments from the series.

Exhibition Exclusive Merchandise

Adding to the excitement, the “Dandadan Gengaten” will feature limited-edition merchandise available only at the venue. A small selection of the merchandise that will be on offer has been revealed:

Ticket Information

Advance tickets will be available from 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, via Ticket Pia.
Designated date and time tickets will be sold for the opening days and weekends (June 20th-22nd, June 28-29, July 5th-6th).

Tickets with an exclusive “Okarun’s Golden Ball” keychain merchandise will also be available in limited quantities.

Visitors can choose to purchase a merchandise ticket that includes a limited edition keychain of Okarun’s “Golden Ball”

Organized by the “Dandadan Gengaten” Production Committee, the exhibition will be held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall A from June 20th (Friday) to July 6th (Sunday), 2025.

The exhibition will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day, with the last entry at 6:30 PM.
