Anime Day 2024 marked with new billboard in Shibuya
Anime day takes place on 22nd October each year to commemorate the day in 1958 when Japan’s first full-length color animated film “The Tale of the White Serpent” was released.
As part of the celebrations, a new advertisement has been installed in Shibuya by streaming service “hulu”, which features some of the most recognisable anime characters of present times.
Located at Dogenzaka Happy Board, an advertising space located in an underground walkway known as “Shibuya Chikamichi” that connects Shibuya station with Shibuya 109, the new Hulu advertisement promotes modern anime under the tagline of “BIG LOVE ANIME!”.
The advert features characters from popular series, including Jujutsu Kaisen’s Yuji Itadori, Blue Exorcist’s Rin Okumura, Isagi Yoichi from BLUE LOCK, Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries and many more.
With Japanese animation growing in popularity globally, fans around the world can take the opportunity to celebrate anime day by relaxing and watching their favorite series.
