New Kuromi themed desserts coming to Sushiro
Delicious new Kuromi themed desserts will be available at Sushiro during their “Sweet Potato Festival 2024” event.
Sushiro may be a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain, but they also offer desserts as part of their “Sushiro Café Club” menu.
This new collaboration between Sushiro Café Club and Kuromi features three new deserts based on sweet potatoes, a common popular seasonal treat during autumn.
The new Kuromi themed desserts available at Sushiro include include a parfait, brûlée and cake.
The “Double Sweet Potato Choco Parfait” is made using two different types of sweet potato with complementary flavors.
The mousse and some of the ice cream are made with purple sweet potatoes from Miyakojima which have a rich purple sweet potato flavor, whilst the rest of the ice cream is made from “Beni Haruka” sweet potatoes from Ibaraki Prefecture known for their sweetness and refreshing aftertaste.
The “Cool Baked Sweet Potato Brûlée” sees baked sweet potatoes brûléed and served with vanilla ice cream.
A special baking method has been developed to slowly bake the sweet potato to amplify its sweetness, before they are cut in half and brûléed.
The “Moist Caramel Sweet Potato Cake” is an almond cake topped with sweet potatoes from Hokkaido which have been blended together with caramel.
This dessert aims to strike a balance between the sweet caramel flavor, the fluffy texture of the sweet potato and deliciously soft almond cake.
Each dessert comes with a limited edition glittering hologram Kuromi pick. Each pick is selected at random and there are 12 types in total to collect.
The Sushiro Café Club x Kuromi sweet potato desserts will be available from Sushiro restaurants through Japan from October 23rd 2024.
