Tokyo's Sanrio cafe reveals adorable Halloween 2024 afternoon tea set

Sanrio Characters Garden Cafe, a Sanrio themed cafe in Ueno, Tokyo, has begun sales of a Halloween themed afternoon tea set.

The “Garden Halloween Afternoon Tea Set” will only be available for a limited time, with the 7th of November being the last day it will be on the menu.

Sanrio Characters Garden Cafe’s afternoon tea set will come with two stacked plates of sweet and savoury treats, as well as an accompanying autumn basket full of treats.

The top plate of the afternoon tea set will feature an apple and tea flavoured character parfait, with guests being allowed to select their favourite character from 8 types.

The remaining items on the top row are a grape mille-feuille, a pumpkin and chestnut cake, a creme brulé tart and chocolate gateau.

The bottom plate of the afternoon tea set will feature a salad, corn soup, a mini burger and a rice croquette with demi glace sauce.

The autumn basket will feature a custard fondue which comes complete with churros, danish, petit choux, grapes and strawberries for dipping.

A chocolate sauce as well as a roasted green tea sauce will also accompany the fondue to add more complex flavours.

If you plan on enjoying the “Garden Halloween Afternoon Tea Set” at Sanrio Characters Garden Cafe in Ueno, Tokyo, reservations are recommended and can be made via the official website.
