New “Tezuka Osamu’s Black Jack Exhibition” coming to Fukuoka in 2025

A new exhibition based on legendary manga artist Tezuka Osamu’s seminal work “Black Jack” will open in Fukuoka in 2025.

Set to open at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum from the 26th of April to the 22nd of June 2025, the “Black Jack” exhibition has been put together by The Nishinippon Shimbun, KBC and Toei in co-operation with Tezuka Productions and Akita Publishing.

The “Tezuka Osamu’s Black Jack Exhibition” will showcase a variety of materials showing the evolution of the “Black Jack” series, taking visitors through its history from the first publication in 1973 through to the “Black Jack” anime adaption in 2004 as well as 2015’s “Young Black Jack” anime series.

Ticket news is expected to be announced in early 2025, so fans of the work of Tezuka Osamu won’t have to wait too long to learn how to get their hands on tickets for the exhibition.
