What to expect at Glover Garden Night Illumination 2024
Glover Garden is known for being one of the most beautiful historical locations in Nagasaki.
During the winter season the garden’s features are used to form part of the night illuminations, featuring warm glowing lights and multiple projection mappings around the garden.
Hot drinks and food will be available for you to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere of the square in front of the statue of Tamaki Miura.
There will also be music from Madame Butterfly playing throughout the area creating a magical atmosphere.
On the 24th & 25th December 2024 an exclusive Christmas “Heart Candle” event will take place.
Taking place from 17:00-20:00 in the Event Square located in Glover Garden, the “Heart Candle” event gives visitors the opportunity to light candles with wishes & thoughts painted on them and take commemorative photos with the candles arranged in a glowing heart.
2024 also sees Nagasaki’s Glover Garden celebrating its 50th anniversary and to commemorate the event the garden is collaborating with Hello Kitty, who is also celebrating her 50th birthday!
As part of the collaboration, there will be a projection mapping called “Hello Kitty and Magical Butterfly” which will be available to view until the 31st March 2025.

When will Glover Garden Night Illumination 2024 take place?
Glover Garden Night Illumination will take place from the 1st November 2024 until the 25th December 2024.
The garden will be open from 08:00 to 21:00 daily.
How much does Glover Garden Night Illumination 2024 cost?
Entry to Glover Garden is priced at 620 yen for adults, 310 yen for high school students and 180 yen for children.
