What to expect at Sendai Pageant of Starlight 2024

Throughout the festive season Sendai’s Jozenji-dori (Jozenji Street) will be lit with warm glowing lighting.

A photo contest will be held for the Pageant of Light with 4 different categories and 4 winners to be chosen for each category.

Selected entries and winners will be featured in an exhibition in April 2025. Full details about the photo contest can be found on the official website.

Other events taking place over Pageant of Starlight include photo spots where visitors are able to take commemorative photos of their visit and music & dance performances.

When will Sendai Pageant of Starlight 2024 take place?

Sendai Pageant of Starlight will take place from the 6th December 2024 until the 25th December 2024.

Illuminations will be lit from 19:00 to 22:00 Monday to Thursday, 18:00-22:00 Friday and Saturday and Sunday 18:00-21:00.

On the 24th & 25th December the illuminations will be lit from 18:00 to 22:00.

Nearest Station: Sendai Pageant of Starlight is best accessed from JR Sendai Station by taking the Namboku Line or the Tozai Line.
