What to expect at Hakodate Christmas Fantasy 2024 

The city of Hakodate welcomes the festive season with open arms for the Hakodate Christmas Fantasy.

The event will see a Sakhalin fir from Hokkaido installed as a giant Christmas tree, which will be beautifully illuminated and floating on the waters of Hakodate Port.

There will be a wide variety of events at Hakodate Christmas Fantasy 2024, including a laser light show and a Christmas art exhibition featuring art work made by local children.

Fireworks will also be held at 18:00 each day.

Other events happening will include a commemorative photo opportunity with ponies from Hakodate racecourse, a horse robot riding experience and the chance to meet Hello Kitty and Hakodate racecourse’s mascot Turfy.

To keep off the winter chill, a soup bar will be open located on the port selling a wide variety of warm, locally produced soups.

When will Hakodate Christmas Fantasy 2024 take place?

Hakodate Christmas Fantasy will take place from the 30th November 2024 until the 25th December 2024.

Fireworks will take place daily at 18:00.

Trees will be illuminated from 16:30-17:45 and 18:00-22:00.
