What to expect at Saga Light Fantasy 2024

Over the winter holiday period the city of Saga is bathed in light with multiple illuminations and festivities. The event aims to highlight Saga and show people the fun of the city by lighting up prominent buildings and attractions.

The illuminations begin at Saga Station and continue along Saga City Central Boulevard (Chuo Odori).

When will Saga Light Fantasy 2024 take place?

Saga Light Fantasy will be held from the 4th of October 2024 until the 13th of January 2025.

Over the duration of the illuminations various events will take place such as the opening ceremony, photo contest, stamp rally and hot air balloon festival. A full calendar of events can be found below (Japanese language only):

How much does Saga Light Fantasy cost?

The illuminations are free to attend.

How do I get to Saga Light Fantasy 2024?

The illuminations begin right outside the south exit of Saga station, with the lights best viewed by following the trail along Saga City Central Boulevard (Chuo Odori).
