Jindai Botanical Gardens Chrysanthemum Show 2024 is a festival celebrating Japan’s national flower, which has been held since the gardens first opened in 1961.

The festival displays a variety of works including large chrysanthemums, small chrysanthemum bonsai, and classical chrysanthemums.

The famous Jindai Flower Float (a vintage cart topped with colorful small chrysanthemums) will also be on display.

The Jindai Flower Float has become a symbol of Jindai Botanical Garden’s “Chrysanthemum Festival” with the impressive floral work being part of the festival for over 30 years.

Jindai Botanical Gardens Chrysanthemum Show 2024 will run from the 26th October 2024 until the 17th November 2024.

The gardens will be open daily from 09:30 until 17:00* (last admission at 4:00pm).

The gardens are closed every Monday (or the following day if Monday is a public holiday)

*17th November 2024 opening hours will be 09:30 to 16:00.

Adult admission is 500 yen

Adults aged 65 years and older, admission is 250 yen

Junior high school students admission is 200 yen

Entry is free for elementary school students and younger
