New My Hero Academia exhibition coming to Tokyo in 2025, hints at Season 8 release date

With My Hero Academia’s anime run set to end in 2025, a new exhibition based on the popular series has been announced and it may just give a clue as to when we can expect to see Season 8 hit screens.

Officially titled Horikoshi Kohei’s “My Hero Academia” Original Art Exhibition, it will run from the 21st of June 2025 until the 31st of August 2025 at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in the city’s Kyobashi neighborhood.

A promotional image featuring Shigaraki Tomura and Izuku Midoriya has been released, with their battle set to reach its climax in the upcoming 8th and final season.

Details regarding specific exhibits and pricing will be announced closer to the exhibitions start date, however an official X account has been launched to allow fans to keep up to date with developments.

Previous My Hero Academia exhibitions held in late 2023 have seen visitors taken on a tour of the anime series existing arcs, with life size standees and statues of characters on display.

The latest exhibition can be expected to follow a similar format, with updated content for both Season 7, which aired in 2024, and the upcoming and final Season 8.

Although there is no confirmed release date for season 8 of My Hero Academia at present, exhibitions tend to either launch during or shortly after a season airs.

We’d therefore anticipate that My Hero Academia is likely to return for its final season in early to mid 2025.
